Narcissists will spin you tales of the most glorious hopes and dreams that you can imagine.

They will even prevent you from living out your own dreams that you were in the process of doing before you met them, insisting that you do it together, with the promise that they will help you.

But months or even years later, none of the things they promised have manifested, and on top of that, they don’t even seem like the same person you met to begin with.

This is future faking, which is when a narcissist promises you the moon and stars, but not only do they fail to deliver on those promises, they move the goal posts constantly and even lie about having made those promises to begin with.
